This view of the dwarf planet Ceres' white spots was created using images captured by NASA's Dawn spacecraft.

The spots here cover an area 15 kilometers wide and are salty liquids pushed up from a reservoir beneath the surface. The spots appear white to the naked eye, and have been enhanced here with false-color red to show saltier areas.
