When the sky cleared The MER team didn’t hear from Opportunity in September, but the whole world was able
to see her thanks to HiRISE, a high-resolution camera onboard NASA's Mars
Reconnaissance Orbiter. On Sep. 20, 2018, HiRISE took this image, which shows that
the rover is still hunkered down at her site about halfway down Perseverance Valley,
which cuts the western rim of Endeavour Crater. The golf cart size rover could almost be
mistaken for a boulder. The square highlighting the rover is about one kilometer (a half-mile)
