Voyager 2's Umbriel image catalog At 1,169 kilometers in diameter Umbriel is nearly identical in size to Ariel but looks surprisingly different. Its surface is much darker and lacks the flat-floored fractures that seam Ariel. A single bright-rimmed crater, named Wunda, appears near the terminator.
