The road ahead, Curiosity sol 1100 Curiosity took the images for this panoramic view of Mount Sharp on sol 1100 (September 10, 2015). Ahead to the right are the ripple-topped basaltic sand dunes of the Bagnold dune field. Curiosity's path will take it to the right side of those dunes, then across a gap in the dune field below the Murray buttes (not visible here) before it begins to rise higher onto the mountain.
