The top image is from an optical microscope and shows many grains at the edge of the spatula. The bottom image is from a scanning electron microscope. Several of the particles (blue arrows) are aluminum particles from within the capsule itself, but some (red arrows) are mineral grains like olivine and pyroxene. These are two of the larger particles within the capsule; most are fewer than 10 microns across. JAXA
