SuperCam beam paths The optical paths of the two laser beams alternately produced by SuperCam’s laser are different. The infrared pulse is expanded to a wide beam in the main telescope and then focused to the target for LIBS. The green beam goes around the telescope and its path is more difficult to maintain alignment, especially with respect to the last mirror, which is mounted in the middle of the window. IRAP
