Portal to Perseverance Valley After years of anticipation, Opportunity finally drove over the edge of the Endeavour Crater rim pictured above and into Perseverance Valley in July 2017. Despite an issue with her left front steering wheel in June, the rover made it look easy and promptly hunkered down on a slope to wait out solar conjunction.
