On the edge Opportunity used her Pancam to shoot this image from the edge of Endeavour Crater’s rim at the top of Perseverance Valley. In this image, the valley falls downslope to the left for the length of two American football fields. Under the direction of Jim Bell, the Pancam science lead, it was processed at Arizona State University in false color, a technique that enables scientists to better discern the various geological features in the scene.
