Jupiter global view from Cassini This approximately natural color view of Jupiter was taken by Cassini's narrow-angle camera on 14 November 2000, during approach to the giant planet. The famous Great Red Spot is not visible, but a white oval spot is visible in the southern hemisphere, at approx. 5 o'clock position. It might well be the one called Oval BA, the progenitor to the now well known "Red Spot Junior". NASA / JPL-Caltech / SSI / color composite by Gordan Ugarkovic
