Greeley Haven Panorama Opportunity took this image over a period of four months during her fifth Martian winter near the northern tip of Cape York. The site and image are named for MER Athena Science Team Ron Greeley, a founding father of planetary geology and Director of the NASA-ASU Regional Planetary Image Facility at Arizona State University. The author or co-author of 16 books and more than 400 papers, Greeley served on various NASA and National Academy of Science (NAS) panels to assess space science and planetary geology activities.
