A Storm of Stars In 2004, Cassini observed Saturn's moon Iapetus. Over the course of about a minute and a half, the camera captured reflected Saturnshine on the night side of Iapetus, and the apparent motion of stars in the background as the moon moved through the sky. The stars appear as streaks; the single dots are noise from radiation hitting the camera sensor. NASA / JPL-Caltech / SSI
