1978 logs of Ceres and Vesta iPhone captures of my observations logs of Ceres (bottom left) and Vesta (bottom right), through a 2.4" refractor in Buffalo, Summer 1978, a year out of High School and 9 months before Voyager at Jupiter. Did I contemplate exploration of either body those cool summer nights? I'm sure I pointed the thing at Pluto, too, knowing it was well out of its range, hoping to record a 'Pluto-photon' on my retina. Paul Schenk
