David J. Fred
Knot tyer
David Fred became interested in knots at a young age while boating on the waters and bays of Lake Michigan. His study of the subject deepened after being given a copy of The Ashley Book of Knots in the 1990s. His research expanded significantly in the last several years while seeking out quality references in order to improve the knotting articles on Wikipedia. He joined the International Guild of Knot Tyers in 2008. He would like to note that he has no professional cable lacing experience, just some hobbyist-level experiments.
