Bill Nye to Discuss LightSail Spacecraft at Media Meet & Greet

Bill Nye (The Science Guy), Planetary Society CEO, and other spokespeople to meet and greet media, offering one-on-one stand-up interviews about the LightSail™ Spacecraft. Interviews will occur in an orderly sequence based on arrival time. Journalists and crews will be directed into the line on site within the Center.

While there are many good aspects of this legislation, cuts to the Earth Science program prevent The Planetary Society from supporting the NASA Authorization Act for 2016 and 2017 as written.

Leaders in Asteroid Tracking/Observing Awarded Through Global Grant Program

The Planetary Society, the world’s leading non-profit space interest group, today announced the 2015 winners of its Shoemaker Near Earth Object (NEO) grant program, an initiative that funds leading asteroid observers, primarily advanced amateurs.
