We believe that by working together, the people of Earth can explore worlds, find life, and defend our home.
Our Approach
Space exploration is a human endeavor, not the work of individual nations. Discovering our place in the cosmos is a goal that the whole world can and should work together to achieve. Our global collaboration work brings together explorers from around the planet to achieve great things.
Our Global Collaboration program:
- Engages our network of global members, volunteers, and partners
- Harnesses opportunities to connect experts, decision-makers, influencers, and advocates.
Our work seeks to cultivate a worldwide movement to ensure the brightest possible future for space science and exploration.
"Space brings out the best in us."
—Bill Nye, CEO of The Planetary Society

We are 2 million+ space enthusiasts and advocates from around the world. Together, we are the largest independent space interest organization in the Cosmos.
We have members in over 100 countries around the world.
We are partnered with some of the other largest global space organizations including World Space Week, Students for the Exploration and Development of Space, and the International Astronautical Federation.

How You Can Help
The best way you can support our Global Collaboration program is by joining us as a member, and encouraging other space enthusiasts to do so as well. By growing the number of members that we represent around the world, you can help us show that our mission reflects the values and aspirations of the people of this planet.
Educate Yourself
Our Global Collaboration goals aren't just about memberships and partnerships; we also want to connect people to the astonishing feats of exploration that are happening around the world. By learning more about international space missions, you can do your part to connect to other space explorers from elsewhere on the Earth.
