Stephen Hawking's Curios? UPDATE

The Cosmos Award for Public Presentation of Science -- at least the blown-glass Saturn trophy given to Stephen Hawking by The Planetary Society -- continues to appear around the Internet. The BBC has now posted a great image from the Science Museum in London's exhibit of curios from Dr. Hawking's office. That's our Saturn on the table to the right.

We were surprised and honored to see the Cosmos Award selected to help represent moments in Dr. Hawking's life, as you'll recall if you read my blog post last week.

Once again, I'd like to thank Planetary Society Members for supporting the Cosmos Award, artists B.E. Johnson and Joy Alyssa Day for creating the glass Saturn, artist Rick Sternbach for providing the ebony base, and the M.R. & Evelyn Hudson Foundation for their generous grant for the award.
