How to move a shuttle across Los Angeles

Ever since the space shuttle Endeavour was awarded to the California Science Center I've been curious about the question of how they will ever get a shuttle from Los Angeles International Airport across more than 10 miles of densely developed city land in the United States to Endeavour's eventual home in Exposition Park. Here's a nice, long (eight-plus minutes) local television feature on just that question. The answer: they're plotting a path through areas where traffic signals and overhead wires will have to be taken down in order to allow the shuttle to complete its 13-hour journey across Los Angeles. But one thing they are not allowed to take down is the Randy's Donuts sign. "Don't mess with Randy's Donuts," says Steve Soboroff, an advisor to the Endeavour project. Fortunately, the shuttle's wing will clear the great donut. That's going to be a great photo. What do I have to do to be part of the great shuttle parade next fall?
