Space carnival, rover update, Planetary Radio Live!
Just a linky post today, as I am nanny-less:
- I had great fun recording Planetary Radio Live on Friday night (yes, it's a recorded show, but it was recorded in front of a live studio audience); I did my usual blog roundup for Mat, but the real stars were Jeff Richichi of SpaceX and Jim Burke, "emeritus" of JPL, whose storytelling is always fascinating; together they represent the past and future of space rocketry. You can listen to the half-hour show in the usual location but if you want more stories and more of me and an actual Planetary Radio song performed live by Mat Kaplan's brother then you should listen to the much longer uncut version!
- This week's Carnival of Space is over at Ryan Anderson's Martian Chronicles.
- A. J. S. Rayl just posted the latest update on the Spirit and Opportunity rovers. I can't tell you how many people in the space biz have told me that Rayl's work now represents the archive of record for the day-to-day happenings on the rover missions.
