Carnival of Space #76
Carnival of Space #76 is live at "Tomorrow is Here." Go check it out!
And there are various new things on this website to read and listen to:
- Planetary Radio this week features a show on the Palomar Observatory (it wasn't yet live when I posted this, but should be soon at planetary.org/radio), and last week was an interview with Andrew Chaikin, author of the excellent book A Passion for Mars. I'm not sure if I've yet mentioned the previous week's interview with Sean Solomon on MESSENGER's latest Mercury flyby.
- And we've announced our 2009 expedition schedule, trips available to Planetary Society members to Alaska to see the aurora, and to Tibet and China to see eclipses. I haven't had the chance to take one of these trips myself (real life intervenes) but there's always a Society staffer along and they bring back the most amazing photos of natural beauty on the Earth and in the sky -- maybe someday I'll get to go.
