Carnival of Space # 65, and more

It's been a couple of weeks since I've been on the ball with an on-time contribution to the Carnival of Space, but I finally remembered this week. Go check it out at 21st Century Waves.

A. J. S. Rayl has lately posted the latest rover update, with the big news being that due to concerns about current spiking in one wheel, the plan is now to exit Victoria Crater.

Amir Alexander just posted an update on the status of the Phobos LIFE experiment, in which The Planetary Society proposes to find out what happens to Earth life that's sent to Mars orbit and back. Amir also recently wrote an article on Voyager 2 crossing the termination shock and venturing on into interstellar space.

For Planetary Radio, Mat Kaplan has interviewed Charlie Kennel on observing Earth from space; Sean Solomon on the recently published results from MESSENGER's first flyby of Mercury; and Berrien Moore on the necessity of space-based Earth observatories.
