I AGREE! NASA’s Science program is being gutted and crucial missions of exploration canceled.

The U.S. administration’s new budget would set planetary exploration and discovery so far back that we may not see it recover in our lifetimes. That’s why I support your SOS! Campaign to demand that U.S. Congress restore NASA’s Space Science funding.

WHEREAS…NASA has made some remarkable achievements in the past decade, among them the Hubble Space Telescope, Deep Impact, Cassini-Huygens, Stardust, and, of course, the dramatically successful Mars orbiters and rovers; and

WHEREAS…These triumphs of exploration -- which have massively expanded our knowledge and understanding of the universe --
were made possible by NASA’s visionary and productive Science program; and

WHEREAS…the administration’s proposed 5-year budget would cut $3 billion from Science, crippling the U.S. President’s own
“Vision for Space Exploration” and setting back our exploration of the Cosmos by a decade or more…

I THEREFORE PETITION YOU to reject the damage this budget does to the world’s future in science and technology and to use all your power and influence to restore NASA’s space science programs as Congress grapples with this budget proposal in the coming months
