Do you want to contribute to the 365 Days of Astronomy podcast?
Please note: the 365 Days of Astronomy Podcast calendar
is now full. However, the 365 Days project is in need
of "spare" podcasts that can be recorded in advance and
slotted into the schedule at short notice in the event
that other contributors fail to deliver their podcasts.
365
Days of Astronomy is looking for individuals, schools,
companies and clubs to provide around eight minutes of
audio for the daily podcast. You can do as few as one episode
or up to 12 episodes (one per month, subject, of course,
to the project's editorial discretion). The podcasts can
be about virtually any astronomical topic, from simple
concepts or how-tos to more in-depth discussions of complex
concepts. The 365 Days of Astronomy project will do post-production
on all submissions, so knowledge of audio editing may not
be necessary. If you can't record your own audio,
you may also just provide a script, and we'll take it from
there.

Here are some guidelines for preparing your podcast:
- If you are new to podcasting, here
is some advice on getting started.
- Your audio must
be delivered 30 days before its scheduled airdate. If
the audio is not delivered on time, we reserve the
right to give the date to someone else.
- If possible,
please deliver the audio in a CD-quality format: stereo,
16-bit, 44.1 kHz AIFF or WAV file. If
only MP3 format is possible, please deliver it as 256
Kbps stereo or 128 Kbps mono.
- The podcast must be between
5 and 10 minutes long (8 minutes is ideal). We'll
be adding a standard introduction with music and credits
to every episode.
- Make sure to introduce yourself within
the podcast.
- A transcript must be included with your submission.
