Projects: Space InformationThe Planetary Report
Space Exploration, Down to Earth Tables of Contents from past issues The Planetary Society's flagship magazine, The Planetary Report, connects
Society members with the space professionals who are exploring other worlds
and seeking other life. In these pages, planetary scientists report on their
own discoveries, engineers lay out their spacecraft designs, policy-makers
explain their decisions, and visionaries opine about the future -- all in
articles addressed directly to our members. A sampling of the distinguished authors whose work has appeared in The Planetary Report over the years includes space popularizers Carl Sagan and Bill Nye, former NASA Administrators Tom Paine, James Fletcher, and Dan Goldin, science-fiction writers Ray Bradbury and Kim Stanley Robinson, astronauts Harrison Schmitt, Rusty Schweickart, and John Young, and planetary scientists Matt Golombek, Steve Squyres, Carolyn Porco, and Eugene Shoemaker. These first-hand reports are technically precise, yet engaging and approachable. Combined with stunning imagery and illustrations, they set The Planetary Report apart from all other space publications. Planetary Society members may download recent back issues of The Planetary Report at the For Members section of this website.
