The Planetary Society Scholarship
for Planetary Science and Related Fields of Study
2006 – 2007 Application
If you are a student interested in space research, or if you know someone
who is, read on.
The Planetary Society is accepting applications for the 2006 - 2007 Planetary
Society Scholarship for Planetary Science and Related Field of Study.
High School Seniors and College and University students studying planetary
science and related fields of study are eligible to apply for the two $1,000
scholarships. Scholarship applicants must be a member or nominated by a member
of The Planetary Society (one nomination per member). The application form
can be dowloaded here as a PDF form.
Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, The Planetary Society has inspired
millions of people to explore other worlds and seek other life. Today, our
international membership makes the non-governmental Planetary Society the
largest space interest group in the world. Carl Sagan, Bruce Murray and Louis
Friedman founded The Planetary Society in 1980. The Planetary Society is
funded by Members and donors around the world; we do not accept any governmental
funds.
Scholarship applications must be received at The Planetary Society by June
30, 2006. Late applications will not be accepted. Winners will be notified
in Mid-August.
