Fact SheetsThe Planetary Society supports the exploration of the solar system and the search for extraterrestrial life by funding a variety of projects and programs. Three of our biggest undertakings are a mission to fly the first solar sail spacecraft, SETI (the search for extraterrestrial intelligence) and Red Rover Goes to Mars, which allowed high school aged students to work with planetary scientists and engineers on a real Mars exploration mission.
